Community Plan Implementation

GHC have been working with communities across the Clutha District to improve existing facilities, or develop new ones. We have helped with more than 70 projects, ranging from skate parks, to boat ramps, to footpaths and bike trails. We aim to compliment the hard work that local leaders are putting into improving their communities, and provide a range of project management skills and services. The Kaitangata community had been trying for years to obtain approval to widen their boat ramp. GHC helped them to obtain a resource consent in 2024. Within a matter of weeks, they had completed the work, with significant support from the community. The result – improved (and much needed) access to the Clutha River/Mata-Au. Our work features in a recent publication called ‘Kaitangata Rising’, which shows the power of a positive and proactive community that has developed a clear vision and worked hard to achieve it. Copies are available from Kaitangata Promotions
