Eva brings a multidisciplinary scientific background to her role as a Contaminated Land Specialist at GHC Consulting. With over six years of experience in genetics and molecular biology, she has developed a strong foundation in environmental science, laboratory precision, and data interpretation. Her career has centred on transforming complex scientific data into clear, accurate outputs, a skill she now applies to environmental monitoring and contaminated land assessments.
At GHC, Eva focuses on the preparation of technical reports, investigations, and client deliverables. Eva has a particular interest in sustainable environmental management and the use of scientific evidence to guide practical solutions. Her ability to work across disciplines and communicate effectively makes her a valuable contributor to the GHC team.
Outside of her scientific work, Eva is a yoga and pilates teacher at Hot Yoga Dunedin, bringing a balanced approach to both her professional and personal life.

DAVE HANAN
Dave has 25 years operational and leadership experience in both the public and private sectors.
Working closely with scientists, engineers, community groups, councils (both the ORC and DCC), consultants, businesses and the University of Otago, he excels at maintaining positive relations with people of all backgrounds.
Dave has an excellent range of engineering and scientific skills, with experience in having managed multiple short- and long-term multi-million-dollar projects. While contracting, Dave understands the importance of delivering what the client requires on time and to budget.
He also has a great deal of experience in environmental monitoring, tendering and technical report writing, asset management, contract preparation and strategic planning, along with a sound understanding and knowledge of the principals of sustainable environmental management and resource efficiency.
Dave is also a recognized SQEP. He has significant experience in contaminated sites and their remediation. His experience extends to consent preparation including assessing environmental effects (AEE) through to presenting at hearings and the Environment Court.
Privately, Dave owns 2 significant heritage buildings in Dunedin. Consequently he has expertise in building project and property management. His building, at 135 Cumberland Street was a finalist for the Dunedin City Council Heritage Awards for Earthquake Strengthening (2107) and Interior Design (2019).

OLIVER WALKER
Oliver is our keen young technician, who is trained in graphic design, environmental monitoring and office administration. With his diverse skills, he brings a unique perspective to every project.
As a field technician, he has gained onsite training to better understand the severe issues that mould can have. He leads our field sampling, monitoring and investigation work. He can find solutions while applying practical thinking and problem-solving skills. His experience has come from both commercial and residential sites.
He also has excellent graphic design skills and has designed and produced booklets, posters and brochures for a wide range of clients.
Oliver provides us with ‘behind the scenes’ backup, leading the administration, payroll, data entry, and accounts, and ensuring the business runs smoothly. He works at a highly efficient level and provides high-quality results in his work.
